a podcast for and about women in peri/menopause and beyond
Our body holds our past experiences in its tissues. Using bodywork, massage therapy, breathwork, sound healing and creative movement I guide my clients to release what is stuck. I help them get to know their body in a new way, get to love their body and their whole being.
What do you do when you feel bad even though there isn’t anything “wrong?”
There’s not some new stress keeping you up at night, there haven’t been any major life events. Your life is the same as it was yesterday — but for some reason today that feels exhausting.
Some days you can’t sleep. Some days you sleep but don’t feel rested. You might wake up sore or achy, or with a headache, or with a to-do list that you look at and barely suppress a sigh. You’re impatient, and then when you get frustrated you feel guilty for getting frustrated. Maybe you even feel like a bad parent or partner. You might wonder if life is supposed to feel like that. Isn't it supposed to be more joyful?
Here’s a tough truth — there isn’t one thing wrong.
You just can’t pour from an empty cup.
Gentle Steps is a 6-month program that combines massage, bodywork, meditation, journaling, and other modalities to make a lasting change in your life. Over the course of 12, one-on-one, two-hour sessions, we’ll create a program that is totally unique to you — custom tailored to tackle the most important things in your life.
The women who have taken this program struggled like you do.They had similar fears and doubts about themselves. Some of them had experienced traumatic events in their past and really suffered a loss of confidence. They were living with frustration, anxiety, fear and a lack of joy and didn’t know how to get out from this feeling of being stuck.
At some point, they’ve asked themselves a question: If I continue living like this, will I be happy and satisfied with my life, or will I regret not having faced my fears as I get older and have less time left to get what I really desire and deserve?
When was the last time you had a really good date?
One that had you tingling with anticipation and excitement?
If it feels like a distant memory, allow me to extend an invitation for you and your partner to immerse yourselves in a two-hour journey of mindfulness, playfulness, and profound connection.
We begin with somatic self awareness exercises and breathwork. Then we move to playful, creative connections - no talking and no analyzing!
Just energy and good vibrations!
Bringing you into a state of heightened presence and inner alignment.
You will also get to take a treat home with you.
Have you become stuck and afraid of change?
At a certain age every woman seems to ask herself: Am I living the life I want? Am I thriving?
If nothing changes, would I be happy continuing exactly on the path I’m on?
Often the answer is NO.
There is a desire to step outside the box, to let go of the strings that hold you back. But the uncertainty of what a different life could look like can be frightening.Without support change and transformation are scary.
If you want more, if you want to feel excited about every aspect of your life but are nervous and hesitant, this program offers you the support you need on your journey.
We begin by evaluating and reflecting on what’s happening in the present and where you want to grow. Then we create a structure and approach that works for YOU.
This is a highly individualized program. We use breathwork, mindfulness, bodywork, sound healing, creative movement and modalities that support your growth.
We meet for 6 sessions over the stretch of 3 months. In between sessions there will be exercises and habits you can practice and implement.
Let’s create the life you desire!
When we sit in circle with each other we are all equal. We can see and hear each other and create connection. A circle is a community - of family, friends, colleagues, like minded individuals. A circle represents belonging, wholeness, the infinite.
The origin of circle practices dates back to indigenous cultures. The community would get together for various reasons: celebrations, sharing of experiences, to consider a problem or a question, peacemaking, healing.
Each voice is honored, each person is listened to, each participant gets time to share. Creating trust is important, offering support and forming relationships is enabled. Confidentiality is key to ensure emotional safety. Nobody is forced to share in the circle, participation is voluntary.
By creating and committing to community agreements the circle members listen to hear and understand, to learn about each other and from each other without judgement. This atmosphere of respect and concern for everyone makes an open exchange about difficult issues or painful experiences possible.
Circle processes are now used in many settings, like neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, and families. I offer this experience as a celebration or as a way to bring families and communities closer together. We can meet for special occasions or create a series of circles to address certain issues and to teach you to hold your own circles with members of your family.
